Christmas Wish List

Thanksgiving eve. I should have probably typed a post about what I’m thankful for…but that’s not gonna happen. Instead, you get a list of everything I’d like for Christmas. Add me to your shopping list and buy me one of these things. Please :]

1.    Sunglasses: Trudies from Von Zipper. Like 4 years ago I discovered these sunglasses and fell in love with the shape, size, tint, everything. I think I’ve gone through 5 pairs in the last 4 years…and it’s time for another. I haven’t lost the ones I own, but they’re crazy scratched.

2.    Onesie: Dark pink from Onepiece. I saw this on Pinterest like 3 years ago and have been obsessed with the company ever since. I think they were more expensive when I first looked at them 3 years ago…but even now, they’re still pretty pricy. They’re super cute and look super comfy! I want one.

3.    Phone: White & silver iPhone 5s from Apple. My phone screen shattered like a month ago and it sucks looking at it. It’s time for a new one. And of course I’m team Apple iPhone because it’s compatible with my Mac. Get me one. Please.

4.    Gift Card: Money for Target. So I can buy everything my heart desires but doesn’t need.

5.    Purse: Balenciaga Giant 12 Silver Mini City Black/Black. These Balenciaga bags were a celebrity trend like a year and a half ago. I’ve been obsessed ever since…but they’re way out of my price range. If you’re got $1,500 to spare and are feeling kind, I’d like this bag. Thanks!

6.    Gossip Girl DVD’s: Season 5 & 6. I never finished watching the series. The furthest I got in the series was where they went to college. I’m due for a marathon, I’ve got seasons 1-4 but don’t want to start it until I have all the seasons so I don’t get cut off. I want the actual DVD’s instead of just watching online because it really is/was one of my favorite tv shows.

7.    Necklace: Sugar skull necklace from Torch Song Metals. They’re a jeweler that I randomly found on instagram and have 2 necklaces from already. Check them out, they have some cute stuff! While you’re at it…buy me that necklace and some midi rings from their shop!

8.    Concert Tickets: Stagecoach tickets to be more exact. It’s a country music festival that I’ve never been to and am dying to go to next year. Everyone [except for Dierks and Lady A] is going to be there. And I can’t miss it. I need a pass.

9.    Water Bottle: Flavor infuser from Uncommon Goods. I love their site. It’s got such interesting things on there. I actually have a few of their ticket books to keep all of my ball game/concert tickets organized. A friend posted the link to the water bottle on my FB. Over the summer I drink cups of water at work and drop in fruit like strawberries, mango, and watermelon into my water because…I don’t like water. It gives it some flavor and makes it easier to drink. This is the perfect thing to have so I can infuse my water while I’m not at the office!

That’s it. That’s all I want. Well I’d like some more stuff but I’m not gonna be greedy. I feel like that’d put me over the edge after already asking for a $1,500 purse. What’s on your Christmas list?

New Bookcase

So…I’ve kind of had an empty corner in my bedroom since we moved into the crack house this summer and for the last week my mind has been obsessed with adding a bookshelf. I’m still in the age range where Ikea furnishings are acceptable but was torn between that and a DIY pinterest project that was actually inspired by Kelley's coffee table! The only thing that kept me from going the DIY route was the wood crate things were only available online and I wanted them at my home ASAP. I was doing a Target shopping trip and came across a bookcase the perfect size and was more affordable than the one I had seen at Ikea…so boom, impromptu Target purchase!

I love pinterest and all the beautiful craftiness inspiration that it provides. Here are some bookcases that I loved!
Love the clean & organized look this has!
So pretty!
Flowers were a must have for me!
Photos!
Something that I had to include were the 3 old school cameras I own! I couldn’t wait to display those :] The couple of autographed baseballs I have from Joba Chamberlain and CC Sabathia made the bookcase also. What I didn’t have…books. I totally overestimated the number of books I own, so this fall I’m on the hunt for some to fill it with actual literature instead of junk. It's still under construction, but this is what we're looking at now...
Let's break down each shelf

Top shelf includes a DIY vase and some fake flowers, because I don't have the money to constantly replace dead real ones, and a "birthday bitch" headband Lime and Chels gifted me with on my 25th birthday. First shelf down we have some books on the top left...The Hunger Games trilogy and WTFO in both paperback and hardcover :] In front of those books is the first vintage looking camera, a Nikon something or other. The middle of the shelf is an empty picture frame for a photo I haven't printed yet and it sits on top of some cute handmade cards I got and totally love from World Market! The right side of that top shelf has the CC and Joba autographed baseballs which sit on my small collection of baseball books including a baseball roadtrip guide gifted by my friend Anna, Derek Jeter's "The Life You Imagine", and "162" by Steve Melia which tells the story of a dude who went to ALL of the Yankees games [home AND away] back in like 2011.

Second shelf down is a little more boring, to your left you see a black empty photo box, textbooks I couldn't sell back, and a mason jar with a silver glittery skull sitting on top of a pile of red glitter. I paid too much for that thing, but I love it.
Shout out to my Yankee Stadium wall decor that I got for like 60% off!
Thanks for the heads up on that Marcus :]
The middle shelf has some more books, including my 1st Chicken Soup For The Soul book from like 7th grade, my AUTOGRAPHED Lauren Conrad book, LA Candy, and book 5 of 7 in the Harry Potter series. In front of that is 2 decks of cards that haven't been used for like 7 years, and a film developing canister. Back in high school [and 2 weeks of college] I took a photo class where we had to develop our own film and print our own pictures using darkrooms and chemicals. It was legit my favorite class and the developing was my favorite part of the entire photo process! Moving on, next to that you see a super legit accordion Polaroid camera. Hey Ya! Last but not least, some middle school and high school yearbooks and "textbooks" which were sheets of paper bound with that coil binding thing. Oh and another photo-less frame.
Last but not least...well least for now since they're so bare, the bottom two shelves. I ran out of books and cool stuff to display.  2nd to the bottom we have 2 super [kind of] rare Stonewall Brew bottles that I took from the Beerfest event I volunteered at. There's a cool story behind it, which makes them potentially valuable...so I took them. My last of 3 cool vintage hipster cameras, a Cannon something or other, the last of 3 empty frames, and a CLAM ticket book! I got these for my friends a couple Christmases ago and had my super talented friend Alma paint over the lame cover. It includes some of our favorite things! Bottom shelf is empty. Sad face.
Welp, that's it. What do you think? Anything I should add? What about book suggestions?!! HP is at the top of my list, and the Lauren Conrad beauty book but I can't really think of anything else. Let me know what's up.

Happy Tuesday kids!

Merry Christmas :]

Merry Christmas world :] I hope everyone has an amazing time with their family and friends!

My best Christmas gift was given to me a week ago, A DISNEYLAND TRIP! I woke up at the crack of dawn to get ready, picked up my aunt, and hit the road 1.5 hours due North to Anahiem.

My parents used to take my brother and I to Disneyland ALL THE TIME when we were younger. I'm pretty sure we went every year for our birthdays until I turned 15 and they spent a ton of money on a quinceanera and a new car. I haven't been been there in like 10 years so I was so excited to go :]

Here's some of my favorite pictures...

[I look kind of creepy in this picture. hahaha]

My mom bought us the tickets and while we were planning the trip she kept mentioning the Christmas parade, so I had to make sure we watched it. Holy crowded! But glad we got to catch it :]

Can't forget the Buzz Lightyear photo :]

We stayed for the luminaria thing where a huge group sang Christmas songs and told the story of Jesus, it was beautiful, but unfortunately my camera and phone had died by then. I'm super sad about it because John Stamos [UNCLE JESSE] was the reader for the event. He's still SO hot!

Christmas Card Lane!

My grandma and aunt flew in from Colombia [south America!] last Wednesday! I didn't really grow up with my grandparents near me, so I always cherish the times when they can come visit. I'm super excited that my aunt is here too, never in a million, billion years did I think her visa application would get approved [been declined multiple times] and I'd be hanging out with her ON AMERICAN SOIL. I'm so glad they're both here :]

I didn't have any plans for Friday night so I decided to take my aunt to Christmas Card Lane here in San Diego to check out the lit homes after hearing about it on the radio.

It's been going on for 28 years where homes in the Rancho Penasquitos area not only deck their homes out with lights, but they choose a theme and have cardboard cutouts of popular characters in their front lawns.

Since it wasn't raining, I decided my aunt and I would walk around the neighborhood instead of driving, so we had to load up on some warm beverages!
Her first Starbucks! Coming from Colombia, the coffee capital of the world, she wasn't too fond of our American coffee. hahahaha.

We took our umbrellas, just in case!

Some of my favorite houses:

I guess some people still have love for the Chargers out here...

PRINCESSES!

Dear Santa...

I'm about to make life real easy for anyone that has me for their secret Santa this year :]

I'd like to add these to my dvd collection...

And this Sacred Heart necklace from Torch Song Metals

New Padres and Yankees gear!

And last but not least...the ipad2
