Last 1^st day of school for my undergraduate degree was yesterday!

Gah. I’ve been in college for 7 years…WAYYY TOO LONG. So ready to be done with it!

What I don’t love: 6:30 alarm set for M-Th. I’m never up that early…and I’m never at school that often. I guess that’s what I get for not passing classes the first time around. Damn you C-‘s!

The first year can be credited to playing softball at my community college and not taking any real classes.  Years 2-7 of farting around can be credited to living in southern California and beach days trumping school. No, but really…I ditched too many classes too often. I wish I could re-start college knowing what I do now and focusing. Who knows, I might already be a teacher by now! Instead, my lollygagging now has me considering a different career path because I don’t want to be in school for another year and a half….ugh.

It’s going to be a busy semester but I can’t wait to show it who’s boss! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and come May I’ll be a college graduate :]

Busy Weekend!

What a fun filled weekend! This was my first free weekend of the year that I wasn't either sick or working! 

Friday I went out for dinner and drinks with one of the CLAMS. It was the first time since NYE since I’ve has booze, so of course we had to share a pitcher of margarita! Haha.

Saturday I went to see my cousin’s 3 week old baby girl <3 I would have made a point to see her at the hospital but I was deathly ill around the time of her birth so that would not have been a good idea! That was then followed by a trip to the softball fields with Caroline to check out a couple of our friends playing while we waited for Keri to be off work, and then that was followed by a baby shower out on the coast which the 3 of us went to!

Sunday I went on a 7 mile hike to Stanley’s Peak at Daley Ranch with Sara. The hike up was rough, but not too bad. We had like a 30 minute photo and chill sesh and then started the most miserable hike back ever. We were out of water, it was hot, and I was light headed because I didn’t eat anything before!

I can’t complain too much because the views were pretty freaking sick. The trails are about 45 minutes away from the beach but we were high enough to see the ocean to the right of us and all of North County San Diego all around us!

Things I learned for next time: Bring more water, bring an apple/orange/snack, eat something small before.

Justin Timberlake!

I love Justin Timberlake. He’s one of my favorite artists! The fact that JT is releasing new music makes me SO happy :]

I saw his “I’m ready” video last week and couldn't believe it! He released a single last night, and I immediately downloaded it. I don’t know if it’s because I’m excited to have new music, but I love Suit & Tie! It’s not the hit song I was expecting, but I’m sure there will be plenty of them on 20/20 Experience!

Hunger Games obsession...

Fridayyyyy! Glad it’s here and glad I’m no longer deathly ill. I had a nasty cold for the last two weeks and it finally kicked my butt last Thursday and caused me to be bed ridden all weekend and take a couple of days off of work. Blah. I’m definitely glad to have kicked it though! Now I wish I hadn’t used my sick days as beach/baseball days last summer!

I made it a couple of productive days though and limited my tv watching and read a couple of books instead! I read The Hunger Games cover to cover on Friday, and Catching Fire cover to cover on Saturday! It's abouttt time since I bought the books over the summer and am now reading them...7 months later! I used to LOVE reading and the last time I probably read a book cover to cover in one day was in high school [6 years ago!!!!] I could have read Mockingjay on Sunday but I decided to give myself a movie day instead. Also, I didn’t want to read it so far out from when the movie comes out. I probably won’t hold out much longer because I really want to know what’s going on in District 12!

I’m now obsessed with The Hunger Games and love everything about it! Pinterest is doing a real good job of feeding that obsession…here are some of my favorite pins!
