Man Crush Monday: Zac Efron

First of all, thank you all so much for reading last week’s post and having such nice things to say about it/me. I was overwhelmed by the number of people that reached out through blog comments, facebook message, twitter, and text. Knowing that so many people are behind me totally motivates me to keep my butt moving!

Now, let’s get today’s post started. It’s time for another man crush Monday. Why? Because there’s this feature in the behinds the scenes settings/stats of blogs that tells you what people search for when they find your blog. The thing that gets people to mine…man crush Monday. It beats all of the other searched by a landslide. Soooo let’s give people more of what they want, hot guys!

Today’s man crush Monday is Zac Efron. I’ve been in love with him for approx. 6 years. I’ve obsessed over the HSM movies, stalked him in LA, and met him at a late night tv show.

He’s been getting tons of heat lately for allegedly using drugs and being in and out of rehab. While that’s not cool…we’re here to focus on his hotness, not drugs. Here’s some fairly recent Efron, enjoy!

He is wearing a shirt in all of these photos. And I did that on purpose. Why? Because it’s cold outside right now…and didn’t find it appropriate to share shirtless photos. Also, we need to be reminded of how beautiful his face is without the distraction of a ripped torso. None of these images are mine…and were ripped from different folders off this site. Have a bomb.com Monday everyone!

Never Doing That Again...

This might get me banished by the blog world…but whatevs. I won't mention any names so this post will only be partially passive aggressive.

A few months ago I signed up for a thing that pairs you up with other bloggers and throughout the month you’re supposed to keep in contact throughout the month, follow each other’s blogs, comment on posts, and eventually do a gift swap valued at like $10.00.

March.
1st month. I was paired up with a chick and didn't really hear from her all month. Didn't get a follow or comments on my posts and only heard from her when I commented on her posts. I can’t hate too much because she did send me a gift that was pretty sweet and reignited my love for ferrero rocher chocolates.

April.
2nd month, hopefully I’d get paired up with someone cooler because for me it wasn’t so much for the gifts as it was to get to know other bloggers...or so I thought. This month’s partner was much better, we constantly talked, commented on each other’s posts, etc. I had high hopes for this blog friendship. I mailed out my gift and was told that mine might be a little late because the chick didn’t have money. NBD, I understand not having money. But then I not only never heard back about her receiving my gift and if she liked it or her trying to get a hold of me to send me my gift. Whomp. That kind of sucked really hard.

May.
3rd time is a charm, right? Nope. But this was kind of my fault. I kind of fell off the face of blog world because school was kicking my butt and I needed to make sure I graduated. I didn’t post much so there wasn’t much opportunity for my partner to comment and I did my best to comment on their stuff but kind of sucked at it. Once graduation was said and done, I tried to get a hold of her to at least get our gift swap done and never heard back. Whomp.

Didn't sign up for June, and probably won’t do it ever again but it is what it is…oh well.

Let’s post some favorite random pins to lighten this post up a bit!

30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 18

So I failed to post yesterday, and thus officially failed the challenge. But I'll still keep at it :] It just means 2 posts in 1 day!

Day 18 – A photo of your favorite memory.

Meeting Zac Efron is hands down my favorite memory ever. But I've already posted that picture so I might as well tell the story of how it happened!

Here's the picture to serve as a reminder ;]

My best friend and I were crazy obsessed with the kid. Crazy obsessed. When we found out that he'd be in Hollywood promoting HSM 3 on Jay Leno, we decided we must be at the taping. We assumed there'd be girls for days lining up so we planned to leave the night before. We get up to Burbank around 11:00 pm to see nobody in line. We were a little disappointed because nobody was there so we needed to figure out our sleeping arrangements. The studio is kind of a sketchy area of Burbank so we were nervous about sleeping in the car on the side of the street. They have a gated parking so we asked the front desk [they were still open!] if we could park and sleep in there and they said yes! We were pretty excited and weren't able to sleep most of the night, but when we did, the timing was totally off! We fell asleep for maybe an hour or two and by the time we woke up [5:30 am-ish] there was a lady setting up her spot in line. Super bummed :[ Oh well. We set up camp and slowly more WOMEN start showing up. The were all there for Kenny Chesney. And play his music NON STOP! Sara and I were feeling nuts for doing this much just to see Efron, but we were not the craziest ones there. Kenny Chesney has some crazy stalkers and we were among them...they follow him like across the country and stuff! Gates open around 9:00 am and they give us our tickets to the show. We then have to walk around the block to another door to enter the show, but that door doesn't open until 4:00 pm. Ugh! We go around the block only to see someone lined up over there! There were people who had the system figured out. One would camp out in one line and the other person in the other line so either way, they'd still be first in line! Well we chill in this second line for the rest of the morning/afternoon until they let us in the doors!

Shirtless Zac Efron appreciation break.

We're about 6th in line in this second line but when they let us in, they seat us in one of the front rows further to the left side, which kind of made us sad since we were kind of behind the chair where the guests sit so we'd see his side/back of his face. Drew Berrymore is the first guest. Most annoying celebrity EVER! She kept playing with her hair.  Her interview couldn't have been over soon enough! Time for Zac's interview. Yay! His actual interview was a blur since we could only focus on his hotness and cheer loud causing him to look over to us a couple of times :] Once his interview was done it was Kenny's turn to perform and Zac chilled on stage watching him. I'm assuming he wasn't too into in since we would look out to the audience instead of watching his performance. Cue resilient Marty. We brought in magazines with him on the cover and every time he would look over to us we would wave them to get his attention and point to them with a sharpie. He just kind of smiled and moved on. Once everything was over he tried to take off through a side door but security wouldn't let him. He had to cross the stage and leave through the door he came in. Cue Marty's loud voice. We were yelling his name, holding up our magazines and he looks over to us. He stops on the stage, talks to a security dude AND THEN WAVES US DOWN!

Hot Zac Efron in a suit appreciation break.

We pretty much sprinted down to the stage leaving behind out purses, wallets, car keys...pretty much everything worth anything. We talked to him for like 5 minutes about his interview and the movie and I got the balls to ask him for an picture :] He so kindly obliged and we got our picture and his autograph [below]. He gave me all his love. Once it was time to peace out, Sana and I floated out of the studio and immediately started crying. We called out parents and friends retelling the amazing situation that just happened. We hopped in the car and headed home, while still crying and continued to cry for 3 hours straight until we got back to San Diego. It was the best day of my life.

30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 07

Happy post-Election Day! I understand how important voting is, and appreciate what everyone did in the past for my right to vote as a female minority, and certainly appreciate what everyone in the military is doing to make sure I will always have the right to vote! As a Republican, my vote doesn't hold much water living in California, which has voted Democratic for as long as I've been alive. Not only that, but there were many things I didn't agree with that our Republican nominee supported. I didn't vote for him. I didn't vote for the Democrat candidate either. I didn't want to waste a vote, so I looked at [and investigated] the 3rd option, Liberatarian...and went with him. It just made sense.

Anywayssss.....

Day 07 – A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest.

My best friend Sara and I have known each other since 4th grade! We've been friends for 15 years now! My earliest memory of us was playing soccer in her kitchen with a Gatorade cap and  she took a shot where I had to pretty much do the splits to block it, which I did...but I also released a fart [or as my linguistics teacher would put it...discharged air] oops. hahahahaha.

It's crazy we've managed to stay friends for so long, because we literally only have one thing in common and that's our love for Zac Efron. All of our shenanigans involving Efron ultimately paid off because after a loooooong night/day at the Jay Leno show up in Hollywood back in like 2008 (?) WE GOT TO MEET HIM! and then cried for like 3 hours after! We didn't get a picture together with him, but here's one with just him and I :] I look so gross, but still love this picture SO MUCH <3

30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 03

Today's post is a little later than usual, oops! Thank goodness you all get that extra hour to stay up and read :]

Day 03 – Your favorite movie.

Gah! Similar to music, I also have like 50 different favorite movies, however, my genre appreciation isn't as diverse. I'm a sucker for comedies, musicals, romantic comedies...mostly chick flicks. I absolutely, positively can't sit through a scary movie. I've braved a few, like the Paranormal Activity movies and a couple of the Saw movies, but I just can't hang with the gore and surprises.

One thing that's important relating to my favorite films is that Zac Efron is my favorite actor. I have seen every single one of his movies :] I haven't loved them all... Me & Orson Welles and The Paperboy are definitely at the bottom of my list, but sat through them...because honestly, who can resist this fiiiiiine specimen of man?!!

Unfortunately, none of his movies are my favorite.

My favorites are Blow, Alphadog, Selena, Pretty Woman, aaaaaaand drum roll please....Mean Girls as my number one favorite!         Total. Chick. Flick. and pretty much Lindsay Lohan's peak.

I can be found at the "girls who eat their feelings" table.

and now that I'm done with this blog, I'll go ahead and put that movie in!
