New Year's Eve!

Happy New Year's Eve everyone!

Holy crap, where did the time go?!! It goes by faster and faster as I get older and older. 2012 was a great year, I had such amazing times with family and friends. Definitely one for the books!

This year I'll be spending the night with my family and family friends up in Temecula instead of going to bars and partying hard. What ever your plans are, I hope you have a great and safe night. No drinking and driving, please!

I've made two resolutions for 2013, and they're both super cliche...save money and lose weight.

My biggest priority for next year [behind doing well in school and work obv.] is to save $4,000 for my baseball road trip happening summer of 2014. I've dreamed of this baseball road trip since I was a kid. If I don't do it now, it's never going to happen!

This means no going out for meals or drinks with friends, no movies, NO COUNTRY CONCERTS, no impulsive shopping...etc. Pretty much falling off of the face of the world for the year. Only kind of. The only exceptions are my besties birthdays, graduation, my birthday, Yankees games, and Padres games. So I won't disappear completely...

Losing weight is on everyone's list and none of us are ever serious about it. It's time to be serious about it. A couple of the things motivating me are graduation, the size 9 and 11 jeans in my closet from a year ago. It's not about me wanting to be skinny, just getting healthier. I'm way too overweight right now, to the point where it's not healthy. A month or so ago I was moving a couch with my mom and I found out how weak sauce I am!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! HERE'S TO 2013!

Merry Christmas :]

Merry Christmas world :] I hope everyone has an amazing time with their family and friends!

My best Christmas gift was given to me a week ago, A DISNEYLAND TRIP! I woke up at the crack of dawn to get ready, picked up my aunt, and hit the road 1.5 hours due North to Anahiem.

My parents used to take my brother and I to Disneyland ALL THE TIME when we were younger. I'm pretty sure we went every year for our birthdays until I turned 15 and they spent a ton of money on a quinceanera and a new car. I haven't been been there in like 10 years so I was so excited to go :]

Here's some of my favorite pictures...

[I look kind of creepy in this picture. hahaha]

My mom bought us the tickets and while we were planning the trip she kept mentioning the Christmas parade, so I had to make sure we watched it. Holy crowded! But glad we got to catch it :]

Can't forget the Buzz Lightyear photo :]

We stayed for the luminaria thing where a huge group sang Christmas songs and told the story of Jesus, it was beautiful, but unfortunately my camera and phone had died by then. I'm super sad about it because John Stamos [UNCLE JESSE] was the reader for the event. He's still SO hot!

Christmas Card Lane!

My grandma and aunt flew in from Colombia [south America!] last Wednesday! I didn't really grow up with my grandparents near me, so I always cherish the times when they can come visit. I'm super excited that my aunt is here too, never in a million, billion years did I think her visa application would get approved [been declined multiple times] and I'd be hanging out with her ON AMERICAN SOIL. I'm so glad they're both here :]

I didn't have any plans for Friday night so I decided to take my aunt to Christmas Card Lane here in San Diego to check out the lit homes after hearing about it on the radio.

It's been going on for 28 years where homes in the Rancho Penasquitos area not only deck their homes out with lights, but they choose a theme and have cardboard cutouts of popular characters in their front lawns.

Since it wasn't raining, I decided my aunt and I would walk around the neighborhood instead of driving, so we had to load up on some warm beverages!
Her first Starbucks! Coming from Colombia, the coffee capital of the world, she wasn't too fond of our American coffee. hahahaha.

We took our umbrellas, just in case!

Some of my favorite houses:

I guess some people still have love for the Chargers out here...

30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 29&30

Happy Friday and the last day of November! OMG where has the time gone?!! I’m not against setting up Christmas decorations in November, but I guess it’s now officially okay to start decorating :]

Yay for my last 30 day challenge post :]

Day 29 – A picture of something you want to do before you die.
One of the things on my short bucket list is to play catch with Derek Jeter.

He’s my favorite athlete. I’ll admit, I first gravitated to him because he was hot...back in 1998. Hahaha. The softball player in me recognized his talent and his skill is what has pretty much kept me as a fan. His looks have certainly faded…in my opinion, but I still love the guy!

Day 30 - A photo of yourself today & three good things that have happened in the past.

Blah. I look so gross today. I woke up feeling sick so I slept until the last possible minute I could before I had to leave for work. As a result, I kind of look disheveled today. Can I use pictures from this last weekend? I look better in those. Hahaha.

3 good things that have happened in the past…recent past or over the course of my entire life? Hmm. Let’s stick with recent past.

-My grandfather and his family from Mexico are now permanently in the United States.

-My grandma and my aunt's visas [from Colombia] were approved [aunt for the first time!] and will be in the United States this winter.

-My brother’s term with the Army is done and he’ll be home for good on Wednesday!

I’d consider all of these 3 things important because although my family is pretty large, between the distance and drama…we don’t all talk. This is the first time I’ll be surrounded by so much family here in the United States.
